Background

Daniel is both a multidisciplinary attorney and legal consultant with 20 years of experience, working whether online or onsite, with a strong business training, commercial implication and a creditable expertise in several jurisdictions of Europe, LatAm and Middle-East beyond the Spanish one. He provides comprehensive legal, regulatory and risk management services on corporate day to day work, complex domestic and cross-border contracting matters, the setting up and development of foreign business structures in Spain and in dispute resolution and administrative issues. He is also used to advising to cross-functional teams and holds a wide knowledge of the international Law firms market.

Employment History

Daniel has worked through out his career as senior lawyer and/or legal director in favour of multinationals belonging to a wide range of sectors such as FCC, Cintra (Ferrovial), Honeywell and King Sturge (now Jones Lang LaSalle), as well as in legal boutiques specializing in civil and administrative litigation. Since 2017 he has been deploying his activity as a freelance professional, being involved in several Projects.

Education

Daniel holds a Master´s degree in Company Legal Advising, with both course modules in Business Studies and Taxation, from the IE Business School in Madrid, and graduated in Law (LLB) from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He is member of the Madrid Bar since 2003.

Career Highlights

Between others Daniel had the opportunity to lead and to coordinate all of the in-house law and litigation services of the Autopista de la Costa del Sol Toll after the merger of the different legal departments into one in 2013, as well as to take over the challenge consisting of being the legal coordinator of the multinational legal teams in charge of PPP Projects such as the tourist and logistic corridors tendered by the Honduran Committee for the Promotion of PPPs, the DBFO for the M8 Motorway promoted by Transports of Scotland and the DBFO regarding the A1/A6 Fast Lanes – Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands.
